Our forums have been inundated with spam recently. We're taking several steps to attempt to combat this. I've recently deleted hundreds of users who fit the profile of spammers. If we accidentally deleted any valid ones, I apologize.

After over 15 years of creating 3D add-on items for the Trainz line of railway simulators, we're proud to announce that we'll be shortly releasing an expanding line of O scale 3D printed detail items that can be used for "real world" railway modeling. As the number of companies making cast brass detail items dwindles, the need for creators of additional items which are currently available grows. We're stepping up to answer that need. The first of these items with be a US&S Model 14 interlocking machine, which should be available shortly. Items shown painted as a reference only, actual items will be provided unpainted.
We're in the process of switching our e-commerce cart system over, so please don't purchase anything at this time! You may notice that the former "Payware" section has been removed, and replaced with a "Store" section. The Amtrak Pack, which was available in the Payware section, has always also been available in the "Free Downloads" section, so you can still download it from there if you need it. At the moment, we're adding a few more items before making the store live. A further announcement will appear here once we do!
We've also updated our logo image. While a version of this image has been in use for over 15 years, we've change it from "Professional Quality Content for Auran's Trainz" to "Quality 3D Crafted Objects for Real and Virtual Worlds" to better cover our new expanded scope.

Okay, I'm starting to figure out how to use the new software, and flesh out some of the features.
"Payware" is at the moment just a placeholder, as I have nothing for sale or in development. All of my old payware items will eventually show up in the "Free Downloads" area, once I figure how to update them and package for current distribution.
"Free Downloads" will contain the old free items that I hosted that were created by others. My former payware items will probably show up here, and/or the download station.
"Gallery" is pictures of some of the items I've created, along with some screenshots from older versions of Trainz.
"Forums" will be a few areas where discussion and support of my content can be posted by users.

I've been trying to sort through the versions of Trainz I've currently got installed. TRS2004, TRS2006, TS2009, TS2010, TS12, and TANE. TRS2004 and TRS2006 refuse to work correctly. I can't save anything in Surveyor, along with several other errors. I'm currently patching the others up to the latest patches they had. Once that happens, I'm going to see if I can migrate all of my content forward to at least see what's working and what isn't.
At that point, I'll decide if it's worth fixing the old stuff, or just running with whatever "autofixes" have been applied over the years. I'd really like to get most of the old rolling stock updated to newer versions with full interiors, hopefully obsoleting the older stuff at the same time. I'm probably shooting for TS2009-12 compatibility at the moment, as I have no idea what is or isn't compatible with TANE and TRS19.
Then there's the question of what do I have rattling around in the attic that was never released. Surprised to find my Metroliner never made it there, as I have pics of it in both the original PRR and Amtrak liveries. The North Coast Limited never quite made it, though the dome cars were finished. I've got several passenger cars in GN "Big Sky Blue", and I'm pretty sure that the latest version of the 20th Century Limited never hit the download station. Don't know if the Wabash TM made it either, and I'm pretty sure that Yankee Stadium isn't there, nor is the Bayonne CNJ station. I think the Gateway arch did, but not sure about the WTC.

Protrainz returns!
What a long, strange trip it's been! Bulletin board got hacked, cart software got hacked (thankfully, no user data was kept on-system), my hosting company decided to hold my websites hostage for 3 years because I refused to renew hosting for a 3 year period, they finally gave me back my data years later, only to delete it again later... Managed to get it restored, but they refused to set up the databases again, so nothing worked.
Meanwhile, Trainz evolved, sorta. I'm still not clear on what's required these days for content creation, or what of my old stuff is still viable, or who's still around. Most of my old, pre-payware era stuff is of dubious quality, but I have some decent items which weren't released to the general public which I wouldn't mind seeing the light of day, if anyone was still interested. I'm not sure at the moment where any of this is headed, except I want to at least get the site back up and running. Everything here is still evolving. Not sure if this software will suit my needs (heck, I'm not even sure what those needs are). I don't need a full-fledged bulletin board, just a place to post the occasional messages, maybe maintain a dialog or two, make some items available for download, and maybe (or maybe not) see if there's anything new that needs made. Life keeps me fairly busy these days. Raising my daughter on my own, relocating (with another potentially coming when she graduates High School), spending a lot of time on physical O-scale modeling, working a dead-end job to pay the bills...
Hopefully over the next few months I can solidify what my expectations are for ProTrainz, and if anybody happens to drop by, feel free to come along for the ride!
